Still Birth - Tape

I found out about these dudes from another blog. Stillbirth are from canada and play Fastcore Im not going to go into it much more then that. This shits heavy and for a tape sounds incredible. I dont like comparing bands because most people disagree with me so fuck it. I managed to not say shit really but this tape is great super crunchy heavy stuff.

Mehkagot N.T. Make the pissed off I hate the world style of grindcore you wish you could make. Released on Gainesville, Florida’s No Idea records. Mehkago N.T. comes with overwhelming music that makes your stomach ache. With one song being about murderers and deceivers “Fall of the Bastard” and the other “A never ending war”, there is definitely a healthy sense of hatred and loathing for certain kinds of people and senseless situation with no clear outcome. This music makes me want to use the word crushing a lot. With parts that make you want to sing out “A NEVER ENDING WAR” and “Fall OF A BASTARD FALL OF HIS EMPIRE” and low tuned riffs that could push through a wall, it is impossible not to clench your fist and bob your head along.

Religious as Fuck

With a stronger punk feel, R..A.F. Bring a different style of fast hardcore with an odd sense of melody at times.I had never really heard much about this band before this split but I look forward to hearing more, these dudes keep you waiting to hear what’s going to happen next. I am a huge fan of the guitar work on this side of the split.

This is Narrows 7" that came out on Deathwish a while back, The Vocalist from Botch and dudes from a slew of other bands. I hate the 45 hole other then that I like this record.


Trap Them -Seance Prime

This is my copy of Seance Prime on green that also came out a few years ago, I have seen these dudes play several times, always a good show.


Reign Supreme

I have not listened to their lp I have heard mixed reviews, but I loved this 7" I thought it ripped really catchy typical east coast hardcore stuff. The color on this is great too.

Compound Terror/The Communion

I have been wanting this split for a little while, so I was happy to see it online for 2$ Compound Terror play the usual mixture of Death metal and Grind. While nothing they are doing is innovative, I still enjoy it for what it is.


Food Not Bombs: A benefit for Reno

I saw this at the record store and decided to look at the track list on the back I figured since it was a band compilation for Reno It had to have some bands tied to Iron Lung in it. And I was correct Gob has a track on this compilation and that was enough of a reason to buy it for me. I don't know the story behind this comp. But I would be lying if I said I like most of the bands on it. This purchase was solely for the Gob track "Making The grade.

Minds Chest Pain Minds

I saw this at the record store for 2 dollars so I decided to buy it. I never really paid much attention to these guys. The first time I heard them was on their split with Never Healed and I wasnt impressed so I never made an effort to look into them. After buying the 7" though I have had a change of heart this record Is incredible super fast hardcore punk from San Francisco I remember someone saying some of the members were in some other solid bands but I dont remember.

Chest Pain Demo

I cant remember where I picked this tape up, but I am happy I did Chest pain are from Austin Texas the dude that runs Depleted Resource is in this band. Chest Pain play a style of hardcore that reminds me of bands like Lack Of Interest. No frills hardcore is what this tape delivers. The packaging for this tape is great as well, the tape case has a 2 layer image spray painted on it. I know this tape also had a limited version that looked great as well.



Weak Minds s/t

Sifting through records and I came upon this, I knew I had seen it somewhere but couldn't place it then it came to me, I saw it on the Am I Mean? blog. Which is one of my favorite music blogs so I bought it. When I looked these guys up they were describes as "Gulf Coast GrindViolence" I would agree with said description. With hardcore influences these dudes also play a really technical fast grind type of music. I know this band had a member that would go on to be in Insect Warfare if that tells you anything. This 7" is great every track delivers. Unfortunately this is the only thing this band came out with. I know you can get this on ebay

Branchdavidian - Party O 'clock

I received this along with another record I ordered, Branchdavidian play a thrashy type of hardcore. 2 of the 3 songs include lyrics that say "get the fuck out of my city," and the other one includes "get the fuck out of my kitchen". Another band that seems not to take themselves to serious, which Is a good thing I think. I really didnt have high expectations for this ep but Its great. It also comes in a nice off white color. Order it at Depleted Resource.

Vile Intent


Vile Intent play an Infest style of hardcore. This tape is really well recorded, especially for the type of music being played. They have some awesome background feedback throughout their music which I enjoy. This tape fast pissed off and heavy which always makes for a good mixture. My only qualm with this tape is the 2nd side, its essentially just an extended chord for 10+ minutes and I was not expecting it from what I heard on side 1. Some people can get into that kind of stuff but I cant. Overall though this tape was a pleasant surprise with some killer tracks.

Vaccine "Demo"

This is my copy of the Vaccine demo that came out late last year. I was fortunate enough to get one of these before they sold out. Anyone who reads this blog probably knows who Vaccine is, fast pissed off straightedge ,hardcore. This is my favorite demo from last year, and one of my best purchases of 09. If you want a copy of this demo check out ebay periodically. But be willing to pay excess of 40 bones.

Rid the World "Demo"


Rid the world are from Cleveland, They play low tuned fast hardcore. This demo came out in 09 limited to 100 long gone now. Rid the world are blatant Infest worship, but they do it well. My only complaint is the lame joke in the intro. The packaging for this tape is incredible, pro tape with custom made sticker templates that look great, they also have printing on the tape case which turned out awesome. The insert is a play on the Infest break the chain image with a few alterations. Over all a good demo. I also happen to have an extra copy so if anyone is looking to trade or buy it let me know.

Hatred Surge, Worlds

Hatred Surge "Deconstruct" tape Released on Financial Ruin , this is the cassette version of Hatred Surges lp , This tape sold out really quick ,unfortunately I was not able to get a copy when It was originally put out so I picked this one up on ebay. I actually bought it from the guy who runs Financial Ruin. It was his last unused copy. I have seen this tape go for 40+ on ebay but I lucked out and got this copy for like 15$. This version also came with a patch and sticker as well.

Worlds "Demo"

Worlds 1st release (that I know of) also released on Drugged Conscience. Members of Assuck, Religous as Fuck, and Asshole Parade. Playing in my opinion straight grind. Great demo has been sold out for a long time. They have a 7" coming out on Vinyl Rites in the future.

I changed the title of the blog and decided to upgrade the image to go along with it. I have never been good about updating but that should be changing soon. I have like 50+ records and tapes I need to put up here and will in due time.

Big Rats Demo 08

I bought this back in the Summer along with some other tapes on Ebay, not knowing anything about this band I just heard that it had a dude from Holy Mountain in it, So I bought it. They also came out with an ep, as far as I know they are both sold out. Only 200 hundred of the tape made. Good oldschool style hardcore stuff, without taking themselves to serious.

Only 80 copies of this tape were made and I was told by the guy who runs the label that I snatched the last copy. This recently was pressed on vinyl as well. Vaccine demo 7"

This is my copy of the Vaccine 7" on Clear, limited to 70 copies this is the vinyl version of their demo tape. Their demo tape was put out on Red Room records the vinyl release was put out by Red Room along with Clean Plate. I was also lucky enough to get a black copy as well. If you dont already know Vaccine and want to know about them check out Skull Fucked's blog he does a better job reviewing then I ever could.

And on another completely unrelated note. How the fuck is there not more coverage on the Mehkago N.T. Human Extinction ep, I own the vinyl but want to download it as well if you know where I can, let me know. There is not even a good quality picture online.

Worlds, Witches, and Coasters

This is the Worlds Cd "Unforseen Paths"that was released on Drugged Conscience in an edition of 100 I was introduced to worlds in the summer of 07 while in Orlando at a wedding by a friend. Worlds plays a dirty fast heavy style of grind. They also had a tape out on XDCRX but thats long gone as well, but if you have missed out so far they are coming out with a 7" on Vinyl Rites soon. This cd has 11 songs that last a little over 6 minutes. Nomadic Exile is a crusher and if and when you listen to this album, dont insult it by playing it on your computer this album sounds 100 times better through massive speakers.

This is WITCHES "collection" cassette. Athens ghosts, the 7"+1 and the demo cd-r collected on one pro-printed cassette. Heavy stock full color covers, 100 made. Awesome female fronted indie rock band, really simple catchy music and I really enjoy the recording and her voice I dont know if this tape has been well circulated, but if anyone reads this listen to WITCHES and buy there tape on No Idea records one of my favorite purchases this year.

This is a little offbeat but these are actually centers of Torches album "In Return" they cut out the center off all the damaged copies of the record and made them in to coasters. I picked a few of these up at Dudefest this past summer for me and some friends.
